Welcome all to the 2016 BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon, scheduled for Feb 1-7, 2016! 

Competition Schedule (*subject to change): 

Thursday Feb 4th:

11:15am (MST) – SPRINT Men 10km

Friday Feb 5th:

11:15 am (MST) – SPRINT Women 7.5km

Saturday Feb 6th:

10:00 am (MST) –  MASS START Men 15km

11:30 am (MST) – MASS START Women 12.5km

Sunday Feb 7th:

10:10 am (MST) – Single Mixed Relay (1 Woman, 1 Man)

2:05 pm (MST) – Mixed Relay (2 Women, 2 Men)

The Canmore Nordic Centre is North America’s premier Nordic venue, sporting 30 electronic Kurvinen targets, 24 permanent wax cabins plus wax testing area, extensive skiing and paved roller ski trails, a top-notch snow making system and lighting for night skiing and shooting.
Since 2005, Canmore has hosted several National Championships in Nordic and Biathlon events, several North American Cup events, 2012 IBU Cups 6&7, 2014 IBU Cups 7&8, the 2009 World Youth Junior Biathlon Championships and three Cross Country Ski World Cups.

“A picture paints a thousand words” – and this certainly is true, especially in trying to capture the beauty of the Nordic Centre’s surroundings.  So, rather than words, we invite you to view this video.  We’re sure you’ll be impressed.

*NO PUBLIC PARKING* at the Canmore Nordic Centre
February 4 – 7 l 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Limited public parking
January 28 – February 3 l 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Lots 1 and 2 closest to the Biathlon Range are closed.

Free Public Shuttle Buses
February 1 – 7 starting at 7:45 a.m.
Departing from the downtown Roam bus stop on 9th street
(behind Downtown Visitor Information Centre)
February 1 – 3: Departing every half hour on the 15 and 45.
February 4 – 7: Race mornings departing every 15 minutes.
Most trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre are still open for public
use during race week. Come to cheer and then go for a ski.
Kids ski free on race days too!

Community Art Walk
Artist-led walks from the Canmore Civic Centre to the
Canmore Nordic Centre. Departing from the Civic Centre
1 hour and 15 minutes before each race February 4 – 7.
