The IBU Cup biathlon circuit returns to Canmore and we are pleased to welcome you to a six day event situated in the heart of the Rockies!
We are excited to welcome you back to the Canmore Nordic Centre, home of the 1988 Olympic Winter Games and the BMW IBU Biathlon World Cups 2016 & 2019.
This marks the first international event to be held while intensive work is underway to upgrade the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park, following the Government of Alberta’s $17.5 million investment in the facility. We are eager to display the work that has already been completed and what is still to come for all Albertans and the world’s best cross-country and biathletes. This outstanding facility features world-class snowmaking capacity and more than 60 km of groomed trails.
This competition is the culmination of an enormous effort; more than 200 volunteers and the Canmore Nordic staff have worked hard to prepare the venue and plan the competition. We are excited to host the world on challenging trails at one of the best venues in the world.
Enjoy your biathlon event experience with us!
